If the DPI setting recommended by your system is over 100% (mostly for 4K monitors), please follow the next steps to ensure that the overlay is displayed properly within your game:
- Open up your Overwolf installation folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Overwolf by default)
- Right-click on the file called Overwolf.exe
- Choose "Properties"
- Go to the "Compatibility" tab
- Click on "Change high DPI settings"
- Check the box for "Override high scaling behavior"
- For "Scaling performed by" choose "System (Enhanced)"
- Re-launch Overwolf to make sure that the changes are applied
Another option is to scale down the DPI to 100% (if your native monitor resolution is lower than 4K). In order to do that, please follow the next steps:
Windows 11
- Press the Windows key + R
- Type in: DpiScaling.exe
- Select 100% from the dropdown list:
- Sign out and back in to your Windows account (if you skip this step, the changes won't have any effect)
Windows 10
- Press the Windows key + R
- Type in: DpiScaling.exe
- Drag the bar pointer to 100%
- Click "Apply"
- Sign out and back in to your Windows account (if you skip this step, the changes won't have any effect)
This will lower your DPI to 100% and will fix any issue triggered by DPI enlargement.
