One of the main features found on Overwolf is the ability to record your awesome plays using any of the capturing apps available in Overwolf's appstore.

Please note that the following are the minimum requirements (having a setup with lower specs may cause issues):

  • Intel CPU: Intel i3 processors that support the Intel Quick Sync encoder. For the supported processors list, click here.
AMD CPU: AMD Ryzen processors that support the AMF encoder (integrated Vega graphics unit).
Additionally, check the AMD product page for your graphic card and verify that you have H.264 & H.265 available.

    *OR*

GPU: Versions of Nvidia graphics cards that support the NVENC NEW encoder (GT/M versions might not work) and are running driver versions 500 and above. You can check your NVIDIA driver version using the steps here.
Users with AMD graphics cards can try the AMF encoder, check the supported cards here.
  • RAM: 8GB or more of RAM (16GB recommended!)

*Please note that video capture cards are currently not supported for recording with Overwolf.
You will not be able to select a video capture card as an audio source or as an encoder, and it will not show up as a device either.
