If you are experiencing random Overwolf crashes, accompanied by the error message "No store settings file", please try the following solutions:

  1. .NET Framework 4.8 not installed properly / corrupted .NET Framework 4.8

Overwolf and its appstore are based on .NET Framework. Please try fixing your system's .NET Framework using Microsoft's repair tool. If you can't repair this issues using this tool please try resetting .NET Framework using this guide.

  2. Reinstalling Overwolf

Let us try to do a clean sweep and reinstall Overwolf. First, head to your control panel to uninstall Overwolf. Once you finish uninstalling it, head to C:\Program Files (x86) and see if you have an Overwolf folder (you shouldn't), and proceed to do the following:

    1. Open Windows's search bar (press the Windows key + R)
    2. Type in "%localappdata%\overwolf" (without the quotation marks)
    3. Delete the Overwolf folder

Then download your chosen app from Overwolf's appstore and run the installation file (which will include the latest version of Overwolf).
